Everybody wants to be an entrepreneur these days. It's the new American dream - work for yourself, be your own boss, make your own hours. And while there's nothing wrong with that dream, the reality is that not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. It takes a certain type of person to be successful in business, and not everyone has what it takes. For starters, you need to have a strong work ethic. Entrepreneurs are self-motivated and driven; they don't need someone standing over them telling them what to do. You also need to be able to handle stress and manage your time well. When you're running your own business, there's no one else to pick up the slack if you're not meeting your deadlines. And finally, you need to be comfortable with risk. Starting your own business is a risky proposition, and not everyone is willing to take that leap of faith. So before you quit your day job and start your own company, ask yourself if you've got what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. It's not an easy road, but it can definitely be worth it.
